Took the NB48 out to Jcp-rc raceway for round 5 of their nitro points series. It was a very up and down day for me. This was the first time I have visited JCP and I never really got comfortable with the track layout. I managed to break a shock shaft during the warmup laps in the first Qual, then broke a drive shaft a few laps into qual 2. I knew I had to get something in qual 3 so I took it easy and didn’t force the issue with lap cars. This landed me 8th in the B-main. On the first lap I had an indecent where me and an other racer got our wings locked together. This really put me in a bind and i knew the rest of the race would need to be flawless. Fortunately for me “the ball bounced my way” a few times and I was able to finish 2nd bumping into the A-Main. The changes I made to the car allowed me to drop about 1 second off my average lap time but i was still a good ways off the top guys. The A-Main started out decent but I lost a screw in the steering link in the first few laps ending my day. It was great hanging out and learning from my Tekno RC teammates Brandon HoganRamos Rc Brad Killion Derek Weatherholt
I think I finished 10th overall. Not to bad for my first trip there. It was great to see 3 of the 10 cars in the main were NB48s. And 2 of the top 3 in Truggy were NT48s. MC Electrons were amazing! My RC Concept MC5 is absolutely amazing, can’t say enough great things about this engine.
